Teach what you love!
The show must go on! As a performing arts instructor, you’ll teach kids to unlock their potential (or how to play the refrain of Shotgun on the guitar). If you spent your childhood as a Billie Barry kid it’s time to take it across the water - use this opportunity to say you spent a summer in New York teaching drama!

Am I the right fit for this job?
A chance to teach and inspire a future generation of Jonah Hill’s – yes he went to camp, what’s not to love! If you’re confident, energetic and have a wide knowledge of performance arts you could be right for the job.
Being the performing arts instructor is all about motivating and inspiring the campers to get involved. We’re looking for people who can plan and deliver daily classes, organise talent shows and who aren’t afraid to make a ‘show’ of themselves – literally.
You need to have
Experience in a performing art
Creativity for lessons and classes
Organisational skills
Patience
Buckets of confidence
Bonus points for
Teaching Experience
Experience running musicals
Teaching Qualification
Technical skills
What does a performing arts instructor do at summer camp?
Whether you work in a traditional camp or specialty arts camp, your camp will have a performing arts programme. They’re looking for enthusiastic counselors who want to share their skill with kids.
Campers love to perform and won’t miss the chance to jump under the spotlight! Morning and afternoons will be spent running fun lessons for a variety of ages and abilities. Lessons can vary from dance, improv, acting, musical theatre, ballet, singing, film writing and everything else in between.
One thing for certain is you’ll be involved in organising the big end of session production where your campers will get to show off their new abilities!

Give it that ol’ razzle dazzle
Lead rehearsals, organise the end of season show and spend the summer on stage!
